Who is Holly Orahem? Part 2

Retreats?! Are those a thing?!

So, my last post talked all about why I chose to become a massage therapist and why I continue to be a massage therapist. This time, I want to tell you about why I am expanding my business into the retreat space.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I love my job! I love doing massage and I love helping people! But, I also know that massage is hard on my body and it is not something I'll be able to do forever no matter how much I would love for that to be the case.

I've spent a lot of time over the last year trying to figure out what I could do that would be aligned with who I am as a person and how much I love helping people. It would have to be something that I could start sooner rather than later and something that could keep going well after I've stopped giving massages. I think my subconscious mind works on thoughts like these often because I was standing at the counter in my kitchen one day and it just popped into my mind - I'm going to host retreats! It was definitely an epiphany! I get to help more people in a shorter amount of time and visit beautiful places while doing it?! Great! Sign me up! That was an easy decision!

Okay, that decision has been made... but now what?! Well, it happened again. I was getting out of my car to go into my office and there it was again! -- The theme is Mindful Grounding. -- Where did that come from? I'm not sure, but I liked how it sounded! So, let's go do this thing!!

This process has definitely felt like I was getting a divine download and it was my job just to say YES! And I did. For better or worse, I hopped right on that bandwagon and hoped I'd get the help and clarity I needed along the way.

The help and clarity I've received has come in a lot of different forms. I joined a community of retreat leaders who I get to learn from, other business owners have offered to help in whatever ways they can, and even my massage clients have helped in a lot of different ways. Deciding and planning to do this retreat has definitely taken a village and that kind of community is exactly the feeling I'd like to create while at this retreat - building relationships that will (hopefully) span a lifetime!

I'm so excited for this new endeavor and to see where it takes me even as we go beyond this first retreat. Thank you all for reading this and being on this journey with me!

Details for this Mindful Grounding Wellness Retreat and all future retreats will be here on my website.
